These terms apply to Drum, including Standard and Pro. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
You may download and use Drum Standard at no charge, for personal study. Do not publicly share license keys. Pro is purchased from the official buy page; a key cannot unlock Standard into Pro.
One Pro key may be active on up to two devices at a time. Additional devices will not activate; already activated devices are unaffected. To move the license to a new computer, email us to unbind an old device.
YouTube video, PDF import / OCR, Text Analyzer & Recommendation, and mobile access are not available in Standard. Those capabilities ship only with the Pro installer and require a verified license on the device. Local audio/video import and Hamilton word glosses are included in Standard.
Translation, explain, and similar AI features in both Standard and Pro call a third-party API key that you configure on your device. Requests go from your device to that provider; they are not proxied through our license gateway. We do not provide official cloud AI and we do not charge you per token. Availability, billing, and generated content are the provider’s responsibility.
Payments are handled by a third-party processor; we do not see your payment account.
Drum Standard can be used at no charge with no time limit. It is not a timed trial. Books, vocabulary, and progress stay on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes that local data.
Pro is a digital license (key and installer), not a physical good. To reduce accidental purchases, you may email us within 7 calendar days of payment for a full refund of the amount paid. Include the order id or license key.
Once a refund is approved, the key is revoked immediately. Paid local features such as PDF and YouTube will stop working on activated devices. The refund is returned through the original payment channel. After 7 days, refunds are granted only if we failed to deliver (payment succeeded but no key was shown, or the Pro installer could not be downloaded).
A key revoked for sharing or violating these terms is not grounds for a refund. Yearly, three-year, and lifetime plans follow the same rule. Drum Standard is always free and is not covered by this section.
We may update what Standard or Pro includes, or fix defects. Material changes will be noted on the product page or in the app.
The app is a language-learning aid, provided as is. To the extent allowed by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the app. AI requests go to the third-party service you configure; that provider is responsible for availability, billing, and the content it returns.
This app is an independent derivative of the open-source project Lute v3 (MIT License). Copyright in the original project remains with its authors. The MIT license allows modification and redistribution. Drum Standard can be used at no charge with no time limit. Pro charges for capabilities we later developed independently. The original project remains available at no charge from its official channels. Drum is not an official Lute product and is not affiliated with the original authors.
